Leonids 1999

Leonid meteors photographed at the predicted meteor storm of November 17/18 1999. At 2:00 UT, meteor rates were about 3000 per hour, but for a brief period only. The storm consisted mainly of faint meteors with occasional fireballs. Photos were produced with T-max 400 and HP5 film, 50mm f/2 lens. Exposures of 20-30 minutes. Camera on tripod setup. Location was Malaga, in southern Spain.
